Double room in cozy shared house

Hi, I'm Cat and I'm looking for a housemate! Your room would be a large double-bedroom in a cozy terraced house and rent is 400pcm (around 500-550 incl. bills). Starting date July 4th, 2025. The house is fully furnished and has two bedrooms, a bathroom, open-space living and dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and a small patio. All areas except bedrooms are shared. Quiet street near Sidwell Street - close to public transport (incl. coach station), supermarkets, about 5mins walking into town, 10mins to St. Luke's campus and 20mins to Streatham campus.

I am looking for an open-minded, queer-friendly, anti-racist and feminist housemate. I'm looking for someone who will be comfortable sharing a space with me, up for cooking together sometimes, having friends for dinner, hanging out with a movie and/or bottle of wine, etc. (but also of course give each other space to decompress whenever needed!). As you can tell from the pictures, I'm quite a maximalist and the house is filled with plants, arts and other things that make me happy!

I'm a PhD student going into my fourth year. My schedule tends to be packed, but I do work from home some days a week. Outside of work, I love music, walks, sea swims and a good fleamarket.

Accesssibility: Bedroom and bathroom are on the first floor only accessible via stairs. The hallway is quite narrow. There is only a bathtub shower. The house is well lit and overall quiet (but your bedroom would face the street). Street parking available if you get a residence parking permit.

Deposit is £461.50. Reference checks required for letting agency. Please note the letting agency will require an annual income of >£12,000 (PhD stipends qualify) or a UK guarantor.
