Huge Double Attic Room In Large House

Hi all.

£600 for this huge double attic room in a large. Female or LGBTQ+ preferred. I am looking for short term (ish) lets because I am planning on selling the house this year. I am happy to give a 4 month contract to start with, and then a running contract on a month by month basis. I will always give at least one month's notice for your security, which I will state on the contract.

8 - 10 minutes walk from the RD&E hospital.

All bills and broadband are included.

Room available from 14th March 2026

Secure bike storage in the rear garden, via locked side gate.

This attic room is away from the rest of the house, and has a private feel. There is a double bed, plenty of shelves for books etc., a desk and chair, a couple of side tables, and lots of cupboard space for clothes. There are 2 windows, with far reaching views.

Kitchen and bathroom are shared, with an extra toilet downstairs. Each person contributes to cleaning once a month.

Other people in the house:

Myself, a female self-employed artist.. I also do yoga, and practise meditation daily. My native language is English, but I speak pretty good Italian. I also speak a smattering of Russian (a bit rusty!), and I am learning Japanese. I work a lot, so I'm mostly conked out in my room. However, I do love a nice chat if you happen to catch me in the kitchen.

Other people in the house: my 20 year old son who is professional, quiet and hard-working. A young female professional who is also very quiet and polite.

One cat who is very sweet. His name is Tenshi, which means 'Angel' in Japanese!!

This is a peaceful, quiet and friendly household and would suit a person who needs, appreciates and enjoys this kind of atmosphere.

For those who enjoy cooking, a bread maker, an air fryer, a nutribullet which you are welcome to use. As well as a standard oven and gas hob. All cooking pans, plates, cups and cutlery etc. are shared. Towels and bedding are not included.

There is a washing machine and a dishwasher.

RD&E is 8-10 minutes walk away. St Lukes campus is 15 minutes walk away. Walking into town takes 20 minutes. Local ammenities are 3 minutes walk, with a supermarket, post office, cafes, a gym, charity shops and a garage, plus bus stops to a multitude of Devon locations. Also nearby is a huge and leafy park with a community cafe. There is a doctors surgery and a dentist opposite the house.

There is a bus stop opposite the house with regular services into town, and a corner shop just up the street.
