The room is upstairs, at the back of the house so very quiet and private, with a nice view over the garden. It faces south-west so gets the afternoon sun and is a bright and cheerful space. The walls and ceiling and woodwork are painted white. There are long, blue, black-out curtains allowing for a good night’s sleep.
As to furnishing, there is a king sized bed with solid oak frame. Mattress new in 2025. Additional furniture includes: Pine chest of drawers; white IKEA cube-space unit; large gilt mirror; fold-away table and fold-away chair. There are hooks on the back of the door.
One double plug socket with additional 4xUSB fittings.
Shared spaces include kitchen (with all usual amenities, washer-dryer, dishwasher), bathroom (tiny bath and over-bath shower), sitting room and garden.
There is a driveway but I will park my van here - but plenty of space to park roadside nearby.
Convenient location. It takes me 20 minutes to walk to the harbourside (7 mins to cycle); 25 minutes to walk to the centre of town (10 mins to cycle). There is a shop (the Co-op) at the bottom of the road.
Bills include gas/electric, council tax, water/sewerage, broadband and TV licence. Bills are included but subject to a reasonable cap.
I am an ex-lawyer and currently work as a delivery driver. I have done many jobs including author, ranch-girl and climbing instructor. A keen rock climber, I have travelled all over the UK, Europe and worldwide on climbing trips. Also run and bodyboard, for fun.
