Sunny single - ideal for student!

Hi there! I'm Liz, and I'm looking for a friendly, considerate lodger to live in this lovely home with me, one other housemate and my affectionate cat, called Pigeon (she loves a cuddle, so not ideal for anyone with allergies!) 🏡😻

The house is 5 mins walk from RD+E Hospital, 20 mins walk from St Lukes campus and a 30 min walk/12 min bus to city centre.

The bedroom is at the front of the house, so enjoys morning sunshine. The room comes furnished with a single bed which is accessed up a small ladder, with a built in desk and wardrobe underneath.

For shared spaces, there is a spacious, well-lit kitchen with a dishwasher, large gas hob, toaster, kettle, double oven, shared fridge and microwave.

Both housemates follow a plant based diet so looking for people who are also vegetarian or vegan please. 🍽️

The kitchen is open-plan with a dining room with dining table and chairs, overlooking the garden decking area.

The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower-over-bath, also a big, well lit mirror.

The garden is a lovely place to chill, with a decking area and lawn. I work at home from a garden studio. There is also a covered area for drying clothes whatever the weather, and just about room for one more bike!

I'm eco conscious and have lots of house plants. 🪴 I'm hoping to find someone who is also eco-aware.

I keep the place clean and yet relaxed. It is 'lived in' with pockets of clutter here and there! It would be expected that you would help take turns to keep communal areas clean, with hoovering and bathroom cleans shared between the 3 housemates.

There's a wood fire in the lounge, an 88 key piano keyboard, guitar and ukulele (musicians welcome!), a flat screen TV, with use of Netflix included.

The house has high speed broadband, a good washing machine.

All bills are included.

I'm easy going and I would hope for harmonious living and friendship! I welcome potential lodgers to come and view the house first! :)

I spend a fair bit of time away- working remotely, and it would be great to have someone who is happy to feed the cat from time to time.

When I'm at home I'm averagely quiet - I don't drink but occasionally have friends over for a social evening, perhaps to jam music and you'd be welcome to do the same! I'm hoping for a lodger who will integrate into the house well, ideally a professional, post doc or student.

From past experience with other housemates: ideally you would be someone who is happy to be careful to close doors quietly, knows how to load a dishwasher (or is happy to adopt an existing system) and doesn't wear earbuds/headphones all the time!
