We are also very lucky to have a train station in the estate which is about a minutes walk from the house and can get you into town in about 15 minutes, or to Exmouth for the beach in the other direction. Few miles from centre exeter good bus routes and cycle routes.
20 minute walk or a couple of minutes drive to tescos huge open lare store or aldi. There is also a business park next to Tesco with diy stores and electrical stores there too.
