Description
My name is Beth, I'm 23 years old and I'm in my first year of a MRes/PhD at the University of Exeter. I currently live with 2 other female housemates who I met doing my undergrad degree in Falmouth, plus we also have a dog called Alfie.
One of my housemates is relocating to start a Masters elsewhere this summer so I'm looking for 1 (potentially two) new housemates to come and join us at the end of July.
The 3 bedroom house is in the lovely area of St. Leonards- really close to the Quay and Riverside Valley Park so great if you're into outdoorsy stuff.
It is also close to the RD&E Hospital (about a 15 minute walk), the City Centre (about 10 minutes walk) and County Hall (across the road!)
The University is a little bit further but doable by bike, bus or car (we all currently work at the university, the girls take about 40 minutes to walk, 15 minutes to cycle)
There is also space on our drive to park 2 cars.
The house itself is lovely and homely. It's located just off Topsham Road but in a quiet, family-orientated area. It has a sitting room, dining room (currently used as a study/general room), conservatory, kitchen, fenced garden, 2 double bedrooms and 1 single.
The house came unfurnished so new housemates would have to furnish their own bedrooms. However, my current housemates would probably sell you current beds etc. for relatively low cost if needed.
The room that is available is a single room (ã300 per month) but there may also be a double room available too (ã345 per month). The price doesn't include bills or council tax but its quite an efficient little house!
I'm an easy-going, tidy and friendly housemate. I'm sociable and up for the occasional night out but this is definitely in no way a party house. Also understand if people want some 'me-time' too. I like sports (and anything outdoors) so would be good to meet like-minded people.
Ideally looking for other young professionals or postgraduate students but otherwise pretty flexible (short term, male/female etc).
The only thing would be that the new housemate must like dogs! Alfie is a very friendly Whippet who loves people. He is house-trained, quiet (sleeps downstairs) and is my responsibility so wouldn't expect anything from housemates. He will expect sofa cuddles though, so the person would need to be ok with dogs :)
Let me know if you have any questions or would like to find out more about the rooms.
Thanks
