Description
I’m very lucky to live in a beautiful, safe, and peaceful house that’s incredibly comfortable, surrounded by large gardens and breathtaking countryside views. It’s a 3-bedroom fully detached house located in the countryside within Fremington and near Roundswell.
The room offered is a double bedroom that features a very comfy double bed, side table with lamp, built-in closet with mirrored doors, canvas wardrobe, chest of drawers, and a chair. If needed, you're welcome to use my desk when I'm not using it. I work a mix of from home and from my office in the town centre.
The house is newly decorated, including the offered room. The entire property is heated during the winter with a system that keeps it warm and cosy 24 hours a day, which makes it extremely comfortable throughout the season. In the summer, it stays fresh and airy.
Communal spaces:
• Fully-equipped kitchen with garden views, large fridge-freezer, electric cooker, dishwasher, dining table, and plenty of storage in the kitchen cabinets.
• Shared bathroom with sink, bathtub, separate shower, and wall cabinets.
• Two separate toilets (one can be for your exclusive use, if desired).
• Living room and conservatory with countryside views.
• Utility room with washing machine.
• External summer house with a balcony overlooking the Taw estuary.
• Ample parking space on the driveway and additional storage space for you if needed.
The house is a 15-minute drive to the town centre, 20 minutes to North Devon District hospital, and just 10 minutes to the shops in Roundswell (Sainsbury's, Lidl, Aldi, coffee shops, and more). A car is necessary, as there is no public transport nearby. All bills are included (internet, council tax, energy, water, toilet paper, and cleaning products for toilets, laundry, and the dishwasher). No smoking indoors; smoking is allowed outdoors, where there is a covered seating area. The carpets are brand new, so we don’t wear shoes in the house—slippers are of course totally fine.
About me: I’m a full-time civil servant with lots of experience in housesharing, having shared homes for many years in London. In fact, I met some of my best friends through housesharing. I have a 3-year-old Whippet who is well-behaved, fully trained, affectionate, and playful. I’m friendly, considerate, respectful, clean and tidy. I enjoy being sociable but also value my own space and respect others’ need for space too. Having said that, if you’re looking for a place where you're hoping to stay mostly in your room without interactions, this won’t be the right fit for you. I’m looking for a lodger who is friendly, respectful, tidy, clean, honest and considerate. It's essential that you are employed full-time. Appreciation for dogs is a plus!
Interested? Feel free to contact me sharing some details about yourself, including your work, age, gender, and interests. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
