Calling all dog lovers! 🐾

We have a gorgeous large double room for rent in our lovely house. The room is double aspect, with both windows looking straight onto the garden, countryside and Exeter.

Longdown is just outside Exeter in a stunning semi-rural location and is around 10 to 15 minutes drive from Exeter (depending on where you come from, please look at google maps before getting into contact).The buses are far and few so being a car owner is essential. It's about a 20 minute drive to the edge of Dartmoor, perfect if you like walks!

The shared bathroom has a double walk in shower with drench head, large seperate bath and underfloor heating. The 3 bedrooms are each on seperate floors. We have our own loo facilities so mainly you'd be sharing with one other.

We are all professionals who work full time. We are light hearted people who love to laugh and enjoy good company and a natter with some food (and wine/cocktails!) around our table. However, if you like your privacy we are happy to respect your space and quiet time.

We enjoy outdoor pursuits and health and fitness. The house is quite a busy one during the week, we are up around 6am and go to bed about 9pm. So there will be noises of dogs and people early in the morning. Another housemate currently works nights. We are looking for someone who can be considerate and light footed when people are asleep!

We have two rescue dogs. One of them is very large and is undergoing rehabilitation with us due to previous cruelty and is not yet able to mix with the household (he stays on the ground floor area of the house where our bedroom is and is in an outdoor enclosure during the day). He can bark when he gets anxious and his enclosure is below the window of the room to rent! So if working from home during the day, the person will need to be ok with some occasional loud barking!

Rescue dogs need time and patience so it is important for anyone moving in to understand this and treat them with love and as part of the family. They are more than just pets to us. We would prefer someone who has experience of living and being around dogs, but not essential. We know there is a huge demand for rooms at the moment and have had people say they are dog lovers to try and get the room. If you aren't a true dog lover I'm afraid we won't be able to consider you.

When not working our butts off, we like to bbq in the summer and watch movies in winter, all the usual stuff. We are big foodies and spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

We have a large garden which is beautiful in the summer and a very cosy lounge with wood burner which is great on cold days.

We would like a professional, non-smoking house mate between the ages of 26 and 40 with a sense of humour (we like to laugh and muck around sometimes!) who respects our home and keeps it clean and tidy.

Please note, there is a cleaning fee of £30 a month on top of the room rent.
