Spare Double Room Available – From March (possibly slightly earlier) 2026.

A furnished double bedroom will be available in a small, friendly shared house located just 9 minutes’ walk from the mainline railway station and 7 minutes from the town centre.

We are looking for a calm and considerate individual who will respect the house and its occupants, particularly as one of us works NHS shift patterns and may be sleeping during the day - hence our preference for a day time working person.

This is a home, not just a rental, so finding the right fit, humour and fostering mutual respect is important to us.

Key Details:

• Parking: On-street permit parking (Fee payable to Devon Council)
• Shared Facilities: Includes a sitting room, kitchen, and bathroom.
• Utilities Included: Rent covers all reasonable use of utilities, including a washing machine, kitchen appliances, and fibre broadband.
• LGB-Friendly Household.

The room will be furnished with a double bed, new mattress, wardrobe, and chest of drawers. It will be redecorated in January and available for viewings from February onwards.

Please note the successful lodger's deposit will be held in the Government's Tenancy Deposit Scheme and a tenant check will be carried out using an tenant screening service (ID / credit check/ previous landlord references). The tenant check cost will NOT be paid for by the lodger.

My existing lodger of 7 years will be moving out late December 2025, room will be freshly painted with new bed and mattress.
