A bathroom/toilet/bidet with fitted units is next door to the bedroom. Both the bathroom and a separate staircase giving access to both bathroom and bedroom are not used by the owner and will be shared only occasionally with guests of the owner occupying next door bedroom.
Downstairs is a large lounge with TV and separate office area. This will be shared only occasionally with the owner and guests of the owner. The owner has similar facilities elsewhere in the house. A shared utility room, including washing machine and toilet, is accessed via the lounge.
Kitchen facilities are elsewhere in the house and will be shared with the owner. The tenant will have his or her own fridge and cupboard space.
The owner is a sociable older man who lives with two friendly, if sometimes exuberant, dogs in his own area of the house.
The house has a large garden together with its own car parking area to which the tenant will have access.
The house is a 16th century grade 2 listed dwelling with partially converted barns attached. It is constructed of cob, stone and thatch and is located in a quiet rural corner of the village of Newton St Cyres, well away from the main road.
The Village is located five miles from the centre of Exeter and three miles from Crediton.
It enjoys a very regular and quick bus service to both. The bus stop is a ten minute walk from the house. The village also has a train service into Exeter and Crediton. The station is a twenty minute walk from the house.
The tenant can be either male or female but must be mature and responsible in outlook and behaviour.
The tenancy is offered at £650 pcm inclusive of utility costs and council tax. Rent is payable monthly in advance. A deposit of one month’s rent is also required. The deposit is returnable at the end of the tenancy less the cost of repairing any damage done by the
tenant. References are essential.
