I’ve bought a newly built two-bedroom house in Okehampton, which will be ready in June.

I work as a shift leader at a residential care home in Exmouth. I sleep at work, which means I’m away from home up to five days a week. However I don’t work through school holidays, and I normally spend half of the school holidays in Wales. So, you’ll have the house to yourself most of the time - hence the rent of £900 per month :)

The house comes with parking spaces, solar panels, and an electric car charger. It also has a garden, and the area includes at least two acres of green space. We're about a five minutes drive from Dartmoor.

I have a working dog who goes everywhere with me. I’ll consider well-behaved dogs as long they are hypoallergenic. My dog says no cats - sorry!

I’m moving in June and hoping to have the house ready for a lodger sometime over the summer.

As for furnishings, your room will be a blank canvas for you to make your own. Alternatively, I’m happy to provide an ottoman bed.

I’ll need at least two references and someone professional who can vouch for you. I’ll also need three months of payslips, and if you’re under 21, a guarantor will be required.

Worth mentioning: my family and friends may sleep over occasionally. Also, I’m a minimalist - so the fewer things, the better :)
