Description
I have a fully furnished double room available in my end-of-terrace home in Monkerton, with an allocated off-road parking space and shared bathroom.
I’m looking for a friendly, respectful and considerate person to join me and my very hyper Cocker Spaniel 🐶. If you’re a dog person, even better — I’d also consider a discounted rent in exchange for the occasional dog walk!
🏡 The house:
Fully furnished double bedroom
Full use of the kitchen, living room and bathroom
Garden with outdoor furniture
Shed for storage
Cleaner every two weeks 🧹
Allocated off-road parking
Bedding and towels can be provided
An unnecessary but impressive abundance of toiletries available 😂
📍 Monkerton, EX1
🚌 3 minutes to the nearest bus stop
🚆 Around 10 minutes to Pinhoe train station
🚗 Easy local transport links
A little about me…
I’m a 30-year-old homeowner with a serious job… but thankfully I’m not a serious person.
I’m generally out of the house around 7am–5pm during the week, so you’ll have plenty of your own space. Outside of work, I’m pretty easy-going and sociable. I enjoy having a chat and a laugh, cooking when I actually have the time, making the most of the summer evenings and getting out for walks with the dog.
I’m definitely someone who enjoys being social and having a bit of company, but I also completely understand the importance of shutting the door, putting your pyjamas on and pretending the rest of the world doesn’t exist. 😄
So, I’m looking for someone who is kind, considerate, clean and respectful, but who also enjoys a bit of socialising and doesn’t mind the occasional kitchen chat, shared meal or spontaneous cup of tea.
I think the ideal arrangement is somewhere between housemate and two strangers politely avoiding each other in the kitchen — somewhere comfortable, relaxed and respectful for everyone.
The let
Although the room is advertised Monday–Friday, I’m open to discussing longer-term arrangements for the right person.
I’m also happy to consider part-time living and agree on a suitable rent depending on how often you’d be staying. With the current housing situation around the university, I’m particularly open to considering students looking for a longer-term home.
There’s no need to arrive with a van full of stuff either — bedding and towels can be provided, and the house is already kitted out with pretty much everything you could need.
If you think you might be a good fit, drop me a message! Tell me a little about yourself, what you’re looking for and your situation, and I’d be happy to have a chat. 😊
