Lovely double room available in Plymouth PL4

We are a group of friends or a "chosen family" looking for a housemate. We have a bright and airy double room available with built in wardrobe storage, bedside tables, and a lovely window area. You may want to bring your own desk.

The available bedroom is upstairs and has access to a bathroom that you'd be sharing with only one other person. It has both a shower and a bathtub, which are separate. There is a large communal Kitchen-diner downstairs, as well as a lounge (TV, licence, and access to Netflix provided for the duration of your residence here). There are four other bedrooms, all occupied.

There is a second bathroom downstairs which other housemates share. All bills (council tax, gas, water, electricity, WiFi, TV licence, and contents and liability insurance if you want to be added to our policy) are included in the rent.

Pets will be considered, particularly if they are small and mostly live in an enclosure. We do not have any requirements or preferences related to age or gender, but we are all LGBTQIA+ so would be looking for someone who is inclusive. We do not wear shoes in the house, and would ask that you please respect this and do the same. We also do not participate in excessive drinking (3 of us are sober), and ask that you do not do this in the communal areas of the house.

There is a back garden that you can enjoy. It has some seating, a lawn, some lovely fruit trees, ponds, and a vegetable patch. We have wood fires and cook dinner over the fire pit in the summer. The house also has easy access to on street parking for those who drive or who wish to be visited by friends who do.

We have a communal kitchen. Due to a space shortage there is not really room for every tenant to have separate cupboards and drawers. We also take it in turns to cook meals for the whole house and take into account everyone's different allergies and dietary requirements. We would appreciate it if you made an effort to participate in this as we find it's good for relationship building and positive connection.

Some of the housemates are disabled and therefore have carers/PAs who visit regularly and assist with domestic tasks or going out.

We are all community organisers and activists. Our belief-system is routed in anarchism and has a focus on mutual aid, transformative justice, police abolition, and community resolution.

We are very social and like to regularly have friends and family over to visit, and we like to host big events such as summer BBQs and Christmas dinners where we'll often have 15-25 people around for a meal.

We do have a set of rules we have agreed on as a house and we would ask you to please input your thoughts and agree to these, as we are happy to adjust some rules to make you more comfortable. You will have a regular opportunity to input your thoughts in house meetings, where we discuss anything we need to.

We are open to short-term arrangements as we have someone else taking over the tenancy from you later this year.

Faults:
-The runners on the wardrobe doors need replacing so the missing mirrored doors can go back on
-Some lights above the mirror don't work
-The landlord is sending a handyman to fix this ASAP.
