Description

Modern home with garden and off road parking in residential area near nature reserve, bus 15 minutes to city centre.

Non-smoking, vegan, queer, neuro divergent household with resident cat. Would suit vegan/vegetarian who is happy with a bit of chat but also their own space. There's no expectation to be overly social. Neurodivergent and queer people very welcome. Mature/Masters/PhD students welcome - or ‘old soul’ younger students.

The vibe
Tea drinking, board gaming, reading, gardening. It won't suit a big football watcher/heavy drinker/party animal. If you've been hanging flags or painting roundabouts recently, this is not the place for you.

Keywords for a good match

The room
Double room, with option of single/double bed depending on individual need. Furniture
can be negotiated according to requirement. The window looks out to trees across the cemetery.

The House
End terrace house in quiet neighborhood, not overlooked, with lovely friendly neighbours.
Shared bathroom, kitchen and lounge. The bathroom has a shower over bath. The kitchen has washing machine and air fryer along with the usual appliances. There is also a dehumidifier for drying clothes. There is a very decent sized garden with chairs, table & hammock. Parking available in carpark area, and most of the time in the allocated ‘visitor’ space.

The local area
The bus to city centre is about 15 mins, with the bus stop less than 5 mins walk. There is a choice of two Co-ops 5- 10 mins walk, with post office and chemist. Mutley Plain is approx 30 mins walk.

There is a field at the back, which is great for a run / kick about. There is a tree-lined walk straight from the property to the nature reserve, and this links up to Saltram via 5-10 mins of 'city walking' over Plymouth Road. Saltram can be reached within half an hour on foot.

About me
I’m a live-in owner and take care of my space. I’m a keen gardener, hiker, camper and creative. I love all things outdoors, board games, reading, and drinking tea.

I work in the charity and creative sectors, with a background in education, youth work
and health. I’m in and out according to my work and social calendar, so you will have chunks of time with the place to yourself. I work from home a lot, so I would prefer someone who works / studies out of the house for the most part during the day.

The small print
Rent is £675 to include all bills, paid in advance. Deposit is one month's rent required, along with two references. There will be a lodger contract. WiFi is Hybrid Fibre. The house is strictly vegetarian. The expectation is to keep a clean space and to clear up after oneself. Occasional guests by arrangement.
