I'm looking for a young person who would like to rent this fully furnished attic room in a shared flat in Teignmouth. It is at Model Cottages, Daimonds Lane, just off the Exeter Rd, below TCS. Beautiful views, light and airy. Sharing with 2 young lads in their mid 20s, 1 of them is my son who is away for much of the summer playing in festivals.
It is £425/month plus bills of about £150/month. Council tax band B. EPC E although additional work has been done on the flat since the last test ie it has a new uPVC front door. I keep it up to a high standard so someone working, pet free and clean and tidy would be preferred.
The flat is on the 2nd floor in a block of 18. It has been tastefully extended into the roof space with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The flats are very quiet with a shared large patio area. There are sea views from the balcony at the back of the building and lovely estuary views from the front.
The small/medium sized double bedroom has a wall mounted TV, a chest of drawers, a built in bedside table, an under the bed drawer and 2 shelves. There is loads of storage space in the eaves but currently no wardrobe.
The shared bathroom, with my son, is opposite. It has an attractive shower. There is a bath downstairs.
The kitchen has a large fridge freezer, a cooker, a microwave, a washing machine, a kettle and a tumble dryer. All are pat tested. The kitchen is fully equipped.
There is a work station desk in the shared lounge which is suitable for working from home. There is a large comfy sofa, TV and coffee table. There are 1 or 2 clothes airers. The lad who rents the room on this floor is into fitness, so there are some dumbells/weights there too.
There is the possibility to rent a parking space or a garage from another person, although there may be a waiting list. There is plenty of parking nearby.
I have worked hard getting to know the other residents and landlords at the flats, and we have a WhatsApp group and have started meeting up occasionally. I am an exceptional landlady, even though I say it myself, and so have several lodgers!
