My cottage is situated near Thorverton, in a beautiful part of the Exe Valley, on the outskirts of Exeter, along quiet country lanes, [I have neighbours who work at the University and the R. D&E. Hospital and commute daily]. Crediton, Tiverton, Cullompton, the M5 Motorway or A38 and A380, are all within easy reach. The cottage is in the middle of a pretty hamlet of thatched houses, and within a five minute walk to Thorverton, where there is a regular bus service to Exeter and Tiverton. Other local amenities include, a post office/newsagents, two local pubs, again within walking distance, and a Farm Shop.
The room is large, light and airy, fully furnished with a King-sized deep divan bed and headboard [a clean set of sheets will be provided for changing on a weekly basis] a writing table, two chests of drawers, bedside table and a double fitted wardrobe. Television and telephone points are installed, and a separate telephone line with broadband and WiFi connection. [For best mobile connection in rural area, turn on Wi-Fi Calling on your Smart Phone, as this will boost your signal whichever provider you are with, enabling you to receive/make 'phone calls and text's].
There are two good-sized bathrooms, although not en-suite. The cottage is extremely warm and comfortable, with oil-fired central heating and a log burner in the Sitting Room, a separate Kitchen /Dining Room, all traditionally furnished and fully equipped, with a Utility Room. situated in the Courtyard. There is a very large garden, summer house, copse and pond with plenty of parking and outside space.
You would be sharing the cottage with a friendly, peaceful and easy going lady, as well as a naughty but lovable cat, and it is all kept extremely clean with a wonderful household help. I enjoy entertaining and love good healthy organic food, which I try and buy whenever possible.
The accommodation would be very suitable for a professional, business entrepreneur or skilled Tradesman. Must be clean and tidy, responsible and respectful of owner's possessions.
Rent is payable monthly in advance on the 1st of the month by Bank Transfer. Two month's Notice is required before leaving, and the Deposit will be returned as soon as practical, less payment for any repairs or replacements that may be necessary. .
