Double room in Bridgetown Totnes

A spacious double room in a listed building with a king size bed (with a new good quality mattress), table, chair and pedestal sink, white painted walls and floorboards, large built in wardrobe, two large sash windows facing mature trees across a road (windows have sound insulating secondary glazing, so pleasantly quiet and calm despite a main road in a 30mph speed area). Totnes town centre is a short walk away, with restaurants, pubs, the river and railway station all within 10 mins walk.

Bathroom with roll top bath, toilet and separate shower enclosure on the same floor to be shared with us owners. (We are away a lot, so sharing is limited...) The top floor is let out separately, but the tenants are lovely and quiet and do not share rooms with us. Our kitchen is large with folding double doors to the courtyard garden which is sunny and light. Our living room will be available some of the time by arrangement. We are professional people who spend much of our spare time growing organic vegetables, some distance from home. We have an interest in the transition movement, permaculture, movement and dance and holistic health. While we love good conversation and an occasionally shared meal, we also treasure quiet time and privacy in our house.
We are looking for a responsible person, student or professional, preferably female as we have had three years of male lodgers and fancy a change. We seek someone with an interesting outlook on life, who is engaging and responsible, vegetarian or pescarian and ideally with an interest in natural health, food growing or sustainable living. The price for the room and the use of the house is £100 per week, and includes all the bills and wireless broadband.
