George and Noah here :) we're a couple in our late twenties looking for someone to take on the second bedroom in our flatshare. Our lovely housemate is moving on from Bournemouth, which we are so sad about, but excited to hopefully find someone to fill the room who is as wonderful 🌞 We are looking for a housemate who wants to make our flat their home too!
• An unfurnished double room with plenty of space for a wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and plants of course!
Plus all the shared spaces:
• Very roomy, bright and open, a large sunny living room, large kitchen/dining room with washing machine and dishwasher, shower/bathroom and separate toilet.
• Really lovely period property with gorgeous fireplaces, picture rails, etc.
• No parking space but plenty of free parking on the road/roads surrounding.
• The flat is on the first floor of a converted house in Boscombe - 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk to the high street.
• All of the furniture in the bedroom is our housemates', who will be taking it with them when they leave so the room comes unfurnished.
It will be available from the end of August.
We are currently renting from a private landlord so rent will be £504 per month (1/3rd of the monthly total) plus bills. Bills currently work out as £95 p/m for everything (WiFi and Home Insurance included) except gas/energy, which ranges from £30-£50 p/m each depending on usage.
Deposit and referencing required. You'd be added to the existing contract as a tenant.
Important to us:
• Clean and respectful - ensuring you are clean, tidy and respectful of the shared spaces is a must! We have a great relationship with our landlady and we love our home and want a housemate who loves it just as much, so being capable of looking after shared spaces (and their own space) and sharing in the cleaning/tidying is a must. We're also not right for anyone who is looking for a party house! We love to party and go out every now and then, but we like to keep the noise down in our flat to respect our neighbours and each other.
• Like-minded - we love to socialise, be out in nature, go to the pub, festivals, travel etc, but we also really value our alone time too so would love someone who is keen for hanging out sometimes but is happy doing their own thing too. We are also both vegetarians, so would love someone who is also, but won't be a dealbreaker if you do cook and store meat respectfully.
• A friend, not just a housemate - we would really like whoever joins us to be more than just someone we live with, so its super important that we get on. No expectations to always want to be social, but would be lovely if we could gain a friend as well as a housemate. Bonus points if you can play an instrument.
• We want to stick around for a while so would like to find someone in a similar position, ideally not someone who knows they want to move out in the next 12 months.
We really want to find the right fit person to join our home so if you think you'd be a good fit, please drop us a message with a little bit about yourself. We'd then like to have a video call before going ahead with any viewings for us to get to know you and vice versa.
