High Quality Accommodation with Poundbury Family

Large Double Room available in our newly built 3 storey town house in Poundbury. Our little family, consisting of 5, (2 big people, 1 medium sized person & 1 small person...& a dog,) have a spare room to offer for 5 nights per week.

The Room & En-suite – Double, 2 chests of drawers (also serving as bedside tables). Small dressing room with fitted wardrobes (one section of which made available to lodger.) Full length mirror. We can be flexible with furniture for example if a desk & chair required. Bed linen can be provided (& towels if needed) and the room will be cleaned and sheets washed over the weekends. The room is bright with high ceilings and 2 massive double glazed windows, with fitted shutter blinds, which overlook the quiet street. The en-suite has a fresh and new feeling with high quality fittings. Excellent water pressure in the large shower.

Available to lodger - All bills included, including use of unlimited 40Mbps fibre optic broadband. No TV in the room. But can have shared use of small downstairs "Snug" living room with SKY TV and SKY CINEMA & BT Sport. Else the fibre optic is ideal for using iPads or other devices for viewing and / or downloading. TV port for free view. Use of gym equipment in garage - weights and resistance kit (at your own risk!) Use of the kitchen / dining room for preparing and eating your food. Ample off road parking.

The Area - Poundbury is uniquely beautiful. We live in what is described as the north east quadrant which continues to grow every day. There is no building work very close to us and therefore no resulting noise pollution. Where we are is peaceful and quiet but the central areas just down the road are bustling with life. So, within walking distance there is an excellent pub, Waitrose supermarket, cafes and other amenities that you would expect, post-office etc. There are regular and reliable buses through Poundbury and 2 train stations in Dorchester. Dorchester town centre is a 5-10 minute drive away. Poundbury is right next to the A35 main Dorset route, making for speedy 20 minutes into Weymouth & 40 into Bournemouth with it's international airport. Equally Exeter is about an hour drive in the other direction which also boasts international flight access.

Our home - is a large 3 storey semi - detached. It is 2 years old and has a Victorian town house style. On the ground floor there is a small "snug" living room, a cloakroom and a large kitchen diner with adjacent utility room. Doors lead from the kitchen / diner into a smallish sunny walled garden. At the bottom of the garden there is a garage with access to the "mews" parking areas and on top of the double garage there is an additional craft / cinema / guest room. The second floor has a large family living room and the master bedroom with en-suite (which is the lodger's room.) On the top floor are 2 further bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a study.

Us - We are busy but relaxed & easy going professional parents of two. We work to a routine during the week and we keep our house orderly and clean. There is a lot of laughter here. We eat healthy freshly prepared food (most of the time!) We are very sociable but equally respectful of someone's privacy and space.

You - Need to be someone who employed and is ok with dogs and children. Need to be friendly, and respectful of us and our home. Leaving things as you find them, particularly in the kitchen. I work in children's social care, so in being mindful of safeguarding our small person, I would need to ask for identity to be validated in some way.

£250 deposit and 1st week to be paid in advance and then £125 to be paid weekly for the duration of your stay. Short or long-term welcome. Room from mid June, date to be confirmed..
