Description
Good sized room for one person in quiet, central location 10-15min walk to Dorchester County Hospital / train stations. Available now up until Christmas with possibility of returning in the new year. Short stays also considered.
The room is on the top floor and furnished with black out curtains, a king sized double bed, wardrobes, drawers, bedside cabinets and a reading lamp, but you will need to bring your own bedding. Everything is in good condition and there is gas central heating, unlimited instant hot water and full fibre broadband.
There is no parking but permits can be obtained from the Council for street parking nearby and there are two large public car parks just a stone's throw from the house.
There is a communal kitchen / dining area and a utility room, plus a front yard with space for bicycles.
We'll need to help each other out in terms of keeping the house clean and tidy, e. g. by doing washing up straight away and keeping the worksurfaces and draining board clear and clean. I am ideally looking for someone that would be happy to take on a couple of chores such as putting the bins out or running the hoover round once a week, as that would be a big help.
Regrettably, I am unable to accommodate couples, pets or overnight guests, and I need someone that will be working out of the home as I need the dining table for my work during the day. The other resident may be working nights so we need to be sensitive to that and I ask that earphones are always used when listening to music or watching films etc. and that you will be considerate of those that may be sleeping or studying and careful to keep the noise down. This ensures the house is always very peaceful and quiet, and an easy place to rest, relax or study.
Neither smoking or alcohol are permitted in the house, and non-smokers are preferred.
Please note the room is not ensuite. There is one bathroom shared between the three of us, which is located on the floor below the bedroom. The stairs are quite steep so if you have any mobility issues or stairs are difficult for you, the accommodation is not likely to be suitable.
Please feel free to message me with any questions or if you would like to take a look, and please let me know a little bit about yourself too including how long you need the room for.
