Double-bedded room available from mid May 2021, for one person in a lovely part of Dorchester, about 10 minutes walk from Dorchester County Hospital and main line railway station. All bills included.

The bedroom is sunny with some nice furniture and a large built-in wardrobe. Own small wetroom with shower and loo. Own sitting room with lots of natural light and a large table for work or dining and a shared kitchen. The house has natural stone and wooden floors with a log burner downstairs and carpet upstairs. Also full gas central heating. There is off-road parking and a pretty, sunny garden with table and chairs for your use.

It's a quiet, relaxed household and although I love music, I'm not looking for someone who likes to have their music or tv on loudly or late, as I a run a small garden design practice and work from home. So, there would be decent conversation on offer, but it's not going to suit a would-be party-goer.

I’ve had lodgers for over 11 years now and they’ve all been lovely. Under normal circumstances, I'd be away one weekend a month. When it's possible to do that again, I'd hope the person would be someone who would enjoy having the house to themselves occasionally and who I can trust to look after it as if it were their own home. I'm looking for someone who works full time so if it sounds of interest, some information about that would be helpful.

I'm an outdoor person, I re-cycle and try to leave a light footprint on the environment. Obviously life has changed a lot since covid and having a relaxed confidence in the person you're sharing a house with is particularly relevant, so similar views on responsible behaviour regarding covid would be very important.
