We are in Marnhull village, Dorset, in the beautiful Blackmore Vale, ‘Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ so there are great opportunities for walking, cycling etc. to enjoy the stunning local English Countryside.

There is a convenient SPAR village shop about three minutes walk from the house . We are adjacent to a farm, and surrounded by open fields.

We are conveniently situated near a number of towns:
Stalbridge is 2 and half miles away
Shaftesbury around 6 miles away,
Sturminster Newton about 3 and half miles away,
Gillingham (and it’s mainline railway station) about 6 and half miles away,
Sherborne about 10 miles away
And Yeovil about 14 miles away.

There are two local buses, X10 and X4 which can take you to local areas.

Marnhull has a great local village pub, a 16th Century coaching inn, The Crown Inn which features as the ‘Pure Drop Inn’ in Thomas Hardy’s novel ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’ (1891).
The village of Marnhull is the ‘Marlott’ of Hardy’s ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’ as it was imagined by him to be Tess’s birthplace.

Rent includes ALL utility bills and Council Tax. Total Rent of £675 per calendar month, paid monthly by direct debit in advance.
