The house is on Mudeford itself and so there is good access to Christchurch town centre and quay, Mudeford harbour and quay, and Avon beach, as well as the ferry to the Spit and Hengistbury Head.
There is a range of local places to eat and drink from Alexander's F & Chips to the Christchurch Harbour.
