BH12 - Live in handyman required

Hello,

One lonely Victorian house in Parkstone 5 minutes walk from the Waitrose on Ashley Road requires that someone who will look after it.

I am seeking a mature individual ( or couple ) who is handy with the toolbox and DIY.

Essentially, looking for somebody to live in and finish off the DIY projects in exchange for free, or minimised rent.

For example, if the tiling can be finished off in main bathroom - that's a bath to soak away in. There are one or two bigger jobs but majority are minor and easy for many - replacing skirting etc, replace the odd floorboard, some wall patching after wiring and plumbing works, decorating - things like that.

I am struggling due to an injury and can no longer do much.

Perhaps this property is suitable for someone who is retired and needs somewhere to stay, or a family member either long term or short term.

This is not a HMO or student shack so you will have the property to yourself probably all of the time and expect it kept civilised. If you break something I expect to be told as I'm honest myself.

Accommodation:

There are three large bedrooms although the smaller one is full of my bits and pieces and the other two will be for you.

First bedroom has a full shower ensuite and second bedroom is empty but can be setup as a office / cinema / sitting room or whatever you wish. I can arrange furnishings, TV, etc if necessary otherwise use your own.

A functional kitchen downstairs, equipment, washing machine, dryer, fan, dehumidifier, heaters, gas hob and central heating and you can have your own parking space if needed. Wi-fi/Sky can be arranged. Boarded out loft for additional storage if needed.

There's a space that can be used as a small workshop. Remainder of house is for your use too.

There is no garden available so probably pets wouldn't be suitable but maybe an old house cat perhaps! I have some fickle neighbours so please no party animals or hooligans. I am a non smoker but don't mind smokers.

If you want to paint the bedroom to your taste - we can work with that I am quite relaxed - just do a good and proper job of it.
