Description

THE ROOM:

On offer is a large, bright, double room with high ceilings overlooking the back garden. It is nicely carpeted , nicely painted and facing east it gets lovely light. It has 4 double sockets. The room is 10'x12' so a really lovely size with enough room for a bed, desk, tall bookshelf or whatever you like.

THE HOUSE:

There is some redecorating and juggling of the layout presently but what you will have to look forward to is:

The house has a large, west facing, shared living room with a working fireplace, a great sized kitchen with all the amenities including a 5 hob cooker and a brand new 9kg washing machine, a dining room/ music room extention and a large downstairs bathroom.

The house is homely, plant filled and very welcoming. The garden is generally used for growing herbs and veg, for native plants and flowers and enjoying the spring and summer sun as we have a deck at the top of the garden which catches great sun and this year we want to build a slightly different seating area.

We're living in zone U for parking and there is adequate space for any vehicle you may own directly outside the house. We have a large Aldi, Sainsburys, B&Q just down the hill as well as some independent shops around the corner.

We're a 20 minute walk from town, with in easy walking distance of the University, Moulsecoombe train station and Lewes Road Bus Garage is at the bottom of the hill as well as the 37 bus route picking up and dropping off less than a minutes walk away.

US:

We're a friendly, professional couple in our 30's with our 6/7 year old cat and we've been sharing for years. I'm a silversmith that works from home and my partner is a musician and bar supervisor. We both work and perform on the festival circuit so there may be occasions in the future where we go away for extended weekends. We like music, video games, chilling out with a film and going to the pub and along with using magpie recycling, octopus green energy and smol we're keen to carry on improving our eco credentials and try to be lower impact where possible. We're also 420 friendly.

IDEAL HOUSEMATE:

Ideally we're looking for someone professional, musical, clean, personable, reliable, tidy and happy to share. We're looking for someone who wants a longer term home rather than a short term rental. We are not party people and do not encourage anyone to join us if that's what they're after, we like a chill house.
