Description

We are looking for a friendly person (ideally a likeminded mature student or professional) to rent our lovely sea view, ground floor room in our family home. Must be an animal lover as we have a cat!

As we are a family, we would also ask that a renter has a current DBS certificate for safeguarding purposes. We both have DBS and are happy to show you ours for peace of mind.

The room is recently decorated, small but cosy, furnished, has a small double bed and 2 bedside tables, smart tv and a coat stand.

We have rented the room out on Airbnb as superhosts successfully for the last couple of years, but would now prefer to have the same person, over a long term, rather than dealing with bookings and lots of people coming and going etc.

Our home is a family space, so can be a bit noisy in a normal way at times, but the room and shower room and loo are in its own area whilst still being attached to the property. The family rooms are upstairs, so there is a nice separation/privacy) and we would ask that a potential lodger does not access the upstairs area so that we have our privacy too.

There is an open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area, and we have a patio garden area with seating and a bbq.

Our garden cabin contains a mini gym, including a top of the range interactive treadmill, interactive weights mirror, kettle bells, weights bench, yoga mat and various bands/rollers.

We have a patio area garden area, and a hot tub which would be available for use when turned on. There is an astro turfed area with children's toys.

We would love to find a person to rent our space who is friendly, enjoys a glass of wine, cooking, and who is happy to help out with a bit of cleaning and be social but also like their own space etc.

We usually work from home in our office, but would be happy to sort another desk for someone to co work with us.

We like to keep our home clean and tidy, although we are normal and working so make reasonable mess and tend to catch up on cleaning and laundry at the weekend.

We are fairly quiet in the evenings, usually like to cook, watch some series or films and hang out with our amazing neighbours. We are so lucky to live in a really nice community, so would hope to find a person who appreciates that too.

Our house overlooks the sea, is about 10 mins walk to the beach and Bishopstone station, and 5 mins walk to the bus stops, to Eastbourne or Brighton.

Some weekends we go away, so would ask that a renter would be happy to feed our beautiful kitty and keep an eye on the house if we were away.

WiFi and bills included. Our home is council tax band C.
