Large, short term let, just off London Road!

Hi! My name is Poppy and I live with four amazing housemates; Alice, Chris, Ben and Suzanne. We’re all in our mid-to-late 20s and are looking for a friendly person to occupy my room when I am away, as I will be travelling until the 8th February.

Alice is a wise and wonderful lady. She works as a ceramic artist, as well as teaching English as a foreign language and enjoys comedy evenings and gaming!

Chris works in volunteer tourism, organising charity and conservation projects. He is friendly and funny, and has just come back to Brighton after 2 years living in Cambodia(!).

Ben is cheerful, loves a good, deep conversation, meditation and is an experimental chef as well as undertaking health and social studies.

Suzanne (or Suz!) is from the Netherlands and is studying her masters in sustainable design. She loves rock climbing, staying healthy and will always be around to share intellectual thoughts and ideas.

And I (Poppy) am a primary school teacher and enjoy being creative with others. I have a passion for music, travel, food and exploring different cultures.

As a group, we’re chilled out, relaxed and respectful. We enjoy the occasional movie night in Alice’s room, and someone is always milling around the kitchen for a chat. Saying that, we also respect each other’s space and have our own social lives outside the house. As much as we like socialising, we all value our own time.

The room being let is a large, light-filled modern room with a double bed and sky lights on either side to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset! There is plenty of storage and floor space. The rent includes all bills (internet, council tax, water and electricity).

The house has a big bathroom with separate shower and bath, an extra toilet, a well kitted kitchen with a dishwasher, new cooker with gas hobs, a washing machine and dryer, and good internet.

We feel really lucky to have a place so ideally located in Brighton - London Road Station is less than a minute's dash away (though you can't hear the trains), you have the Signalman Pub on the corner of our road which has yummy food and a great pub quiz on a Monday, plus all the supermarkets and corner shops you could wish for are less than a 5 minute walk away!
