Description

Hi, there are 2 rooms available in the 3 bed house I live in on a quiet street close to Preston Park (as both my housemates are moving away from brighton). One very spacious double and one decent size double with ensuite. One is available on 1st November and the other is flexible- to move in any time between 1st Nov and 1st Dec. Both can be left part furnished and with mattress.

I’m 31 (she, they), part-time trainee counsellor ready to qualify, have Complex-PTSD, and thrive around/would especially love to live with considerate people who care about others, social issues, (racism, ableism, sexism, transphobia, fatphobia and all oppressions).
Would like to share with people who want to feel at home together, rather than simply sharing a house. To feel some safety and cosiness at home, be nice to sometimes be able to relax together, and laugh, and support each other within our limits, as well as respecting regular space when we need it.
A bit more about me in case you may be interested:
I liiiike (obviously some are less possible during covid-times) spending time with friends, chatting, nature walks, animals, dancing, food, swims, writing, learning(?) to sing, silly playing, deep chats, stretching and gentle yoga, community theatre, watching netflix (schitts creek, pose, crazy ex gf, gogglebox), radical/compassionate ‘mental health’ activism/understanding/alternatives, body/somatic based stuff, peer support groups, chatting w strangers, spending time with children, platonic cuddles (and respect boundaries- understand it’s not everyone’s thing!), parks, exploring witchy things, listening to podcasts (love sofie hagen’s made of human), community centres/gardens/groups/activities.
Am passionate about anything trauma-societal-relational-power related.
Am mostly vegan but happy to live with non vegans and understand people’s relationship with food and their bodies can be complex.
I’m recovering from long-covid (not contagious- now nearly 8 months in and beginning to have more energy!) and some other ongoing fatigue, and have been trying to learn to rest so would especially like to live with people who acknowledge and value the need for rest.

Accessibility: the street is flat, there’s one small step to enter the house and 3 steps down from the ground floor to the first bedroom, there is a toilet on the ground floor, 9 steps up to the second bedroom (with en suite shower and toilet) and another 3 up to the shared living room, 9 more steps up to the bathroom on the 2nd floor and one big step in the bathroom.
The closest corner shop is 100 metres away and there’s a Sainsbury’s local 150 metres away.
Bus stop for number 5 bus into town is 140 metres away.
There’s one free parking space with the house (beside the house) as well as free visitor parking spaces behind the house.

If interested please message me. Also happy to have a call, whichever is most comfy.
