Large room - all inclusive

Near Preston Circus, this very large room has all ameniites (broadband, cleaner, washing machine, heating).

This is a quiet household with everything included. Whilst we have a community minded approach, we tend to keep ourselves to ourselves.

I treat the rooms like a hotel. If we need anything I get it.

Room has double bed, desk, light, cupboard and plenty of electrical sockets.

Double glazed and warm.

ENERGY BILLS

I have put a lot of effort into minimising these.

Extra insulation on windows in the winter.

The rent includes all bills for basic summer use. In the winter, the room has its own internal meter so you can see what you are using and what you have to pay. We also discuss when the main central heating comes on etc.

This works best as each person can fine tune their warmth accordingly without paying for someone else's.

It is all discussed and explained and this hybrid approach is the only way to deal with the cost of energy so that all are happy.

I have always done fully inclusive but these days that is not a workable approach.
