One Single room near Queens Park/RSCH

One single room in house in Rochester Street BN2 0EJ. Room is currently available.

House is very near to bus stop (No 2 bus) and short walk to bus stops on Eastern Road or 15mins walk through Hanover to The Level/Lewes Road. There is a local Budgens shop 30 secs walk, with shops on St Georges Road (Kemp Town) nearby, also Asda at the marina. Close to Royal Sussex County Hospital.

The house is a three bedroom Victorian terraced house. The room for rent is well lit, has the basics, bed, wardrobe, chest of draws and a table and chair.

I’m a live in landlord but quite often in the evenings i’m away from the house. I work full-time (NHS). I’m based at Brighton General Hospital but some days I find myself working from home although I work in the community so this includes out and about visits. I’ve a 17 year old son who I visit and spend time with and who occasionally may stay over. I also have a stepdaughter (24) and daughter (30)

There is a calm, quiet feel to the house, I’m happy to chat but equally happy to respect space.

There is a woodburner in lounge/kitchen area. It has a small garden. In colder months if you make regular use of the woodburner I will ask for share towards the wood but I get deliveries from supplier who is quite reasonable with what he charges.

Happy with short term lets and so would suit a foreign student.

£575 a month plus £125 to cover bills including council tax, WiFi, gas, electric, water. £700 total. In winter months I have heating on for one hour in the morning, 5 1/2 hours in the evening.

Or if very short term rental, £160 a week inclusive (equivalent £700 per month)
