I have a lovely large comfortable furnished double loft bedroom (single occupancy) with en-suite shower room available in my newly refurbished home in Westdene, Brighton.
The location of the house is ideally located on the outskirts of town, in a tranquil residential area, just a short drive off the A23/A27 & Dyke Road Avenue, for quick access if travelling in or out of Brighton or the surrounding areas by car with plenty of space to park on the drive. If you don't have a car or prefer to use public transport to travel around Brighton the No.27 bus conveniently stops just a few houses away. It serves Brighton railway station and of course the city centre and the Royal Sussex County hospital to Brighton Marina and beyond to Saltdene. (Route varies slightly at different times of the day).
The bedroom is large and bright with views across to the South Downs and parts of Brighton. Furnished to a high specification with a double bed with new Brook + Wilde 'Elite' hybrid mattress, bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers, a few lamps and blackout blinds. The shower room has had a recent face lift and is equipped with a new shower, toilet, sink, heated towel rail and 'silent' extractor fan. You are welcome to bring your own bedding and towels of course, but I am happy to provide, and will launder every couple of weeks along with a regular clean.
The house has a fully furnished living room with TV. A fully equipped kitchen/dining room with sliding doors leading out onto a sunny decking area with table & chairs and garden beyond (bring on the Summer) Facilities include dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer & washing machine in separate utility room. Welcome to use all, just need to clean up after yourself.
I'm a professional 51yr old photographer & have a Labrador dog so this would best suit someone who likes dogs, but how much interaction is up to you, and how you get on! She is friendly enough to come to the door to welcome you home but isn't over the top - generally very chilled and quiet. It is a quiet & relaxed home, and would suit a professional who is out at work during the day, rather than night shifts, who is easy going, friendly and tidy. As a Mon-Fri let I wouldn't expect you to have guests over to stay.
Ideally looking for someone long term, but I can be flexible if more short term, or if it doesn't work out, it's important this suits both of us. If you like the peace and quiet and think this would work for you but something is missing please ask.. I have been lucky to have a long term lodger here for the last few years while working at the hospital, and what worked for him may not work for you!? For the right person, happy to discuss and make a plan that suits both of us and then set it out in a short term contract.
This won't suit many people I know - I'm not expecting loads of enquiries, but hopefully one right one.
Please no smokers. Only Mon-Fri lodgers (or slight adapt on that possible?) Please don't bother me if you are looking for full time. £350 deposit to secure, and whilst preferred references not necessarily essential..
