Bright and airy loft room with en suite

I’m a single parent to a cheerful, lively 2-year-old and am looking for a responsible, caring lodger who would also be happy to offer occasional childcare support in exchange for reduced rent.

The offer:
• A furnished double room in a modern, clean, peaceful home
• Shared access to kitchen, living spaces, garden
• Inclusive of bills (WiFi, utilities, council tax)
• In return for reduced rent, I am looking for around 5–8 hours per week of agreed babysitting, such as:
• 1–2 evenings a week
• Occasional weekend support
• Potential ad-hoc daytime care if my child is unwell (negotiable)

Ideal for:
• A student or professional with childcare experience (e. g., teacher training, nursery nurse, healthcare, social care, or similar)
• Someone warm, responsible, tidy, and genuinely fond of young children
• Non-smoker
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• References required
