Hi, I am Sarah, and I am unfortunately moving out of Richard’s house here in Brighton. I have been here for almost 6 months and have loved it, but am moving back to Australia for University and Richard is looking for a new lodger. The room is in Richards 3 bedroom house, sharing with him and his son (who are both lovely). The bedroom comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, mirror and a desk and chair. The room is huge and there is plenty of space to fit all of your things and rearrange things if you want to. The kitchen has all appliances and everything you would need, as well as a washing machine. There is also a shared living room and bathroom. Fast wifi and bills are all included. Richard is a welcoming, relaxed landlord and housemate. He is very friendly, respectful and so easy to have a great chat with. Richard is super generous and very happy to help out whenever he can! He organised a larger bed for me within a few days of moving in, after I had mentioned I would like to look into getting one. The house is in a super convenient location! You can easily walk to the seafront and town centre. There is a Co-op, Aldi and Sainsbury’s just a 10 min walk away, as well as shops, gyms and plenty of takeaway options. It is also close to Brighton University where I was working and I walked there each day in about 20 mins. I would 100% be staying if I wasn’t moving home and can’t recommend this house highly enough!

I’m a 20 year old girl and have been a tenant here for nine months for my first year of university. The room is very spacious with big windows and lots of natural light. Richard is a very friendly and accommodating landlord and provided me with everything I asked for e. g. furniture, a lock on the door etc. I shared the house with Richard and his teenage son and felt very comfortable. The shared spaces are the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and garden, all of which are kept tidy. I was made to feel welcome to use them and was provided space to keep my stuff. Richard was also very welcoming when I invited people to stay. The house is in a good location - it’s a 20 minute walk to the city centre, and there are buses from the bottom of the road (Elm Grove) which go straight to both Brighton uni and Sussex uni, and to the city centre. The train station is a 15 minute walk, and it’s a 10 minute walk to Aldi or Sainsbury’s. It’s also only a 5 minute walk to Lewes Road and London Road, both of which have lots of shops / cafes / takeaways.
