Large double room with sofa in peaceful house with garden. Available from end of Nov/beginning Dec 2025.
The house is not in central Brighton but it has excellent transport links and easy access to the local beaches and the South Downs national park. Sharing with one person - me, the owner - I work supporting SEND students in further education and do some music teaching in schools.
House:
A Victorian terrace house with a sunny, pleasant garden. It is shared with me (the owner), but my room is downstairs which gives a good level of privacy. Shared bathroom (shower only) and kitchen-dining area. There is fast, reliable WiFi.
Transport:
The house is in the Portslade area of Brighton & Hove and has extremely good transport links, rail, bus and road.
Rail: Fishersgate station is 1 min away (c.10min journey time into Brighton, c.30min to Falmer); Portslade station is c.10min on foot from where there is a direct train to London Victoria (I take this train a lot).
Bus: 1 and 1A services stop about 3mins from the house.
Road: joining the A27 takes 5 mins; there are no parking restrictions in the area.
Cycling: 20min into Brighton on the excellent costal cycle route. Please note bikes can't be brought into the house due to a narrow hallway, but there is a lock-up stand by the front door.
Local shops: Co-Op (closest, 2min), Aldi, Tesco, Sainsbury's all within c.10-15min walk.
Rent includes the cost of all bills/council tax.
