Room available near Royal Pavilion

Hey everyone!

My lovely flatmate is moving in with their partner so I'm looking for a new flatmate. It's a two-bed flat in central Brighton, overlooking Victoria Gardens, just across the road from the Royal Pavillion, a 5 min walk to the Laines and the seafront.

There's really good natural light throughout the flat, the living room is a good size with a little archway to a small kitchen, there's a bath/shower, a private storage area, and the room available is big enough for a double bed and some furniture. I've furnished the rest of the flat but your room would be unfurnished.

You'll be living with one other person, me! I'm Emily (she/her), I'm 29 and I've lived in this flat for 4 years (Brighton my whole life). I used to work in marketing and am now teaching myself web development, and I work for a cute music venue in Brighton. I'm a big fan of the cinema, music, drumming, going to gigs and other shows, bike rides, adventuring, generally being creative, learning and doing new things. I'm very involved in the local queer scene - you'll often find me hanging out at the local LGBTQ+ pub, The Actors, and other queer events/spaces. I'm currently developing a new series of queer events and gigs at the music venue I work at.

Who I'm looking for:

Ideally someone who is also part of the LGBTQ+ community and identifies as a woman or non-binary.
I'm neurodivergent and I can often find the outside world quite overstimulating. Because of this, I need a place to come back to, relax and decompress, so this isn't a party flat or the place everyone comes to all the time. I'm hoping to find someone who shares the same need/want in their living situation. I'm also looking for someone who's clean and will take turns cleaning the flat. Bonus if you have similar interests!

Some need to knows:

• Accessibility: The flat is up 4 flights of stairs and there's no lift.

• Noise: The room that's available overlooks the main road and we have single glazing so it can be a lil noisy at times unfortunately.

• No smoking in the flat or out the window

• Bills come to about £175 per month and includes council tax (band B), gas and electricity, water, and broadband.

• A security deposit is required but I've contacted the letting agent to find out how much it would be.
