Cosy LGBTQ+ friendly home in central Brighton

A small double room in an amazing location right in the North Laines, less than a 5 minute walk from Brighton main Station and bus stops, and a 10-15 minute walk to the beach.

The room does fit a standard double bed easily, but I currently have a small double bed (for more floor space), large chest of drawers and a crafting table in the room, which provides a perfect sanctuary that is compact yet very functional for a young working individual in need of a private space.

The house is cosy and full of personality, we are all friendly and do spend time together when our schedules align. We also have friends over from time to time to have small gatherings/parties and are generally a fairly sociable bunch, however it is also just as easy to never bump into eachother and keep yourself to yourself behind closed doors.

We generally are clean and tidy, but not meticulously so as we all have busy working lives and are all varying kinds of neurodivergent so sometimes it can be messy, sometimes it's absolutely spotless. If we are really busy we book in a cleaner to do the hard stuff, which won't cost us more than a tenner per person for each cleaner visit.

Privacy is extremely important to us all, we never enter each others rooms or meddle in someone else's things without communicating first - this is something that absolutely must be respected and I can be sure to say that your room is ONLY yours and will be yours to do with as you please. (Including painting or hanging pictures etc)

About the house:

Communal kitchen, living room, dining area and bathroom. Four (total) double bedrooms, two large rooms, one medium (mine) and one loft conversion with space saver stairs.

There is only one one bathroom but it is very large with lots of storage space. Despite there being four people in the house and only one bathroom, we never really get 'traffic' as we all communicate via our group chat to warn eachother of long showers just in case someone is about to use the toilet etc. which works very well for us.

The house is not wheelchair accessible unfortunately, and you must be able to manage stairs as the room is up two flights on the second floor.

I am moving out in July but please note that the tenancy will be ending March 8th 2025 due to major renovations which means the property will be uninhabitable whilst renovations are underway.

THERE WILL BE NO STAYING BEYOND MARCH 8TH 2025.

The existing housemates are all queer working females, and we do prefer to keep it an all female household that is also educated on neurodivergence. (Zero tolerance for TERFs, trans women and NBs are very welcome here, we generally would prefer non-males but the room is open to all queers needing a cheap, safe place to live, especially if you have extenuating circumstances - vulnerable individuals will get first priority).
