A 1st floor double room is available in a nice, modern, friendly house located on Bevendean Road, at the top of Coombe Road and Bear Road. There is conveniently located bus stop on our road with regular services into the centre of Brighton. Alternatively, it’s a 30 minute walk into town, and a 10 minute walk down the hill to the big supermarkets of ALDI and Sainsbury’s. We have storage for bikes, and a driveway with space for 2 cars. There is also lots of on street parking available, permitted between 10-11am and 5-6pm.

The rent is very affordable at just £450 a month, plus bills which are shared between the four housemates. These average around £100 a month each – great if you’re on a budget or trying to save! The Council Tax band for the property is Band C.

You’ll need to pass a credit check or offer a UK based guarantor, plus pay a deposit of £490 paid to the outgoing tenant. You would be joining a joint tenancy which means there is no fixed term, but you are responsible for finding a replacement on your moving out. The landlords are lovely – a couple that live in Lewes and are always quick to respond to the very few issues we have, or general upkeep of the property.

The ground floor comprises of a shared kitchen/living room, downstairs toilet, and a garden with decking to sit out on – this gets the evening sun, especially nice in the Spring and Summer! 1st floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom, and then the 2nd floor a further two bedrooms and bathroom.

Your bedroom is located on the 1st floor – this includes a doubled bed, large built-in wardrobe, a desk/chair, and lots of natural light. You would be sharing the 1st floor bathroom with one other tenant.
