Description
Hi there,
My name is Amro and I’m looking for a new housemate to take a lovely double room in Hanover close to the wonderful Queens Park, right beside a great yoga and fitness studio, and only a short walk from the seaside and town.
The house is spacious and in a really nice area which is residential and quiet but still really central. It also has an office if you work from home and a small garden (though we probably won’t be getting much use out of that for a few months!)
The bathroom isn’t quite an ensuite but it’s just outside the room and you will have private use of it as there is another bathroom in my room.
Bills aren’t included but add up to roughly about £200 per month.
About me:
I’m from Ireland and was living in East London for about ten years before moving to Brighton about 3.5 years ago.. My wonderful current flatmate has decided to move in with her partner (rude!) and so I’m looking for another person to take up this great space.
Until very recently I was working in political lobbying for social justice issues, i. e. human and animal rights but I’m taking a career break to focus on my creative writing and mental health.
I’m vegan (I’ve put off 90% of the people reading this now), progressive, more or less sober, and spirituality and wellbeing minded so I mainly like to do wholesome things like meditation, reading, yoga, football, gaming, exercise, board games, dancing, sea dips, sauna, therapy and naps (lots and lots of naps). If it’s a hippy event in Brighton or anything about personal or spiritual development, you’ll usually find me there. I’m also into writing and music and really interested in gigs, poetry events, cinema trips etc.
Ideally I’d like the person who takes up the space to have a similar energy and outlook and be interested in doing things together occasionally so we’re not just passing ships in the night but equally I’m fairly independent and will be out doing my own thing most of the time so there’s no pressure there. Above all, emotional intelligence and kindness are really important and it’d be nice for the house to reflect that.
