Lovely double room close to Fiveways

Lovely double room in a quiet, spacious flat close to Fiveways.

Hi there! I'm Nimi, an academic. I'm looking for a young professional, doctoral researcher or postdoc to lodge with me, starting on 1 February 2026.

The double room is newly furnished with a double bed and quality mattress, wardrobe, and chest of drawers. It's a lovely warm room that gets afternoon sun, and faces onto a quiet garden lined with trees.

There is a large living room that I use when I sometimes work from home, and am happy to have as a shared work space. It has a record player and a small but growing collection of vinyl. If you have records, you are welcome to bring them with. Sharing music with others, and encountering music from other parts of the world, brings me a lot of joy.

The flat is fairly warm and cosy in winter, and has double glazing and gas central heating with combi boiler (so no waiting for the water to heat up). The bathroom has a bath and shower, and the kitchen has all the appliances, pots, crockery etc that you'll need.

There's a beautiful garden in the front and back, with apple and plum trees, jasmine, honeysuckle, raspberries and gooseberries. The garden is really large, so there's ample space for you to plant a small garden if that's something you'd enjoy. The apartment is one of six in the block, and the neighbours are friendly and kind.

There is a bike shed, free on-street parking, and a bus stop around the corner. The flat is about five minutes away from Fiveways, which has a Co-op, green grocers, bakery, coffee shops, pharmacy and post office. Several parks are close by, and it's a 10 minutes walk to the Wild Park Nature Reserve.

Bills included council tax, high speed broadband, water and energy (with fair use).

I love being outdoors (in all weather!), travelling, music and art, gardening, hosting dinner parties, and learning about our fragile, beautiful world. I like a calm, clean and well-ordered home.

I'm hoping to find someone who wants to share a peaceful, happy home with others, and enjoys spending time with people from different cultures.
