Description
THE ROOM:
A bright and generously sized double room is available, offering a comfy and homely yet modern feel.
- Fully furnished with a double bed (can remove mattress if you would rather keep your own), small sofa, x2 bedside tables with drawers, wardrobe, and chest of drawers.
- Ample space for a desk and chair if required
.- Neutral décor with down lighting
- Carpeted (can include rug)
- Two windows that can tilt or fully open, letting in natural light and fresh air.
THE FLAT
Overall a very open, modern and clean/fresh feel. It is on the second floor of a block with three other flats, meaning it isn't accessible for anyone who cannot walk upstairs.
- Living Room
There’s a big comfy corner sofa, and loads of plants that give the place a homely vibe (please feel free to add to the greenery!) TV and firestick meaning any apps can be used (no TV signal) The windows let in plenty of light and can also tilt or open fully, so it feels bright and airy during the day. It’s a nice spot for a film night or just lounging about. There is also a dining table to one side - the perfect place to host dinners with friends or work on crafts/projects. It also has a balcony with a small table and chairs suitable for soaking up the sun/enjoying the sunset. Smoking is allowed only on the balcony.
- Kitchen
The kitchen is modern and has everything you need - good worktop space, an induction hob, large fridge freezer and undermount sink with a built-in boiling water tap! Fully equipped with crockery, cutlery and utensils, and a microwave, toaster and small air fryer too. There's plenty of cupboard space for food storage but, seeing as it's already fully equipped, it would be more suited to someone without a large amount of their own kitchen ware.
- Bathroom
Full size bath with both overhead rainfall and handheld shower heads. Large window with privacy glazing meaning it's bright and can be aired out. Over sink Storage cabinet as well as a large cupboard that has ample shelf space for towels and spare bedsheets, with space to hang clothes next to hot water tank for quicker drying too.
LOCATION
- In the centre of town, right next to St. Peter's Church, this location is ideal for someone who wants to live centrally.
- It's just a 10 minute walk to the station, with bus stops nearby to take you anywhere else in the city.
- Aldi supermarket 5 minute walk away, and a 24 hour Budgens at the end of the road.
- Although it's so central, a bonus is that It's in parking Zone C which is affordable and has no wait list for a Resident Permit.
- Great cycle lane access with a Beryl Bike station just across the road and a bike storage cupboard downstairs for if you own your own bicycle.
- Council Tax Band B
HOUSEMATE
Current housemate Amy is a 30 year old female and has been my friend since we were 2 years old! We have lived together for the past 2 years and the only reason I am moving out is to live with my partner.
She is a 10/10 housemate, always keeping things very clean and tidy and enjoys hanging out in the evenings, sharing meals and having a laugh.
Amy works in office Monday-Friday 8am-5.30pm so is out of the house a lot. She would prefer someone with a similar working schedule, to make it easy to adapt to living together. Working from home full time is a no go for a new housemate, but Hybrid workers will definitely be considered.
If you have any questions about the space or would like to arrange a viewing/chat with Amy please drop me a message!
