Description
The house is a large four bed in Ditchling Road area about half a mile North of Fiveways 100 metres to the bus stop on the 26/46/52 bus routes. Adequate on site parking and a locked roofed area (with power and lights) for bike storage. Garden and patio access.
The room has a double bed and views over the park there are two bathrooms, the downstairs one is shared by the tenants. WIFI by Virgin throughout the house 125Mb.
The kitchen is a fair size, I am a meat eater, so that might be a challenge for those that are not. Although I am trying to eat more healthy but vegetarianism is still a step to far !
Main house rule is no smoking or vaping.
Washing machine is in the attached garage along with a shared freezer (one draw each!). Two fridges, you would be likely to share one with one other tenant. Gas central heating that is serviced annually. A large dining room where you can work during the day if that suits, much better than being stuck in a bedroom, ideal for WFH.
What is missing is the sociable housemates that so many people would prefer, the house is fairly quiet and you could spend quite a few hours alone, (plenty of internet time) if that suits you then that’s great! For that reason I feel it is less likely to be attractive to younger people looking for the friendship and sociability of similarly aged people. I am a 78 year old male, although try not to act it ! My lady partner lives about ten miles away so I am out a lot of the time.
My current tenants have been with me for 3.5 years and have now got a shared ownership flat on Shoreham Harbour, so I will be helping them move shortly. Currently can’t film their bedrooms as it would not be right and they are “piled” high with “stuff” for their new home. I have videos of inside and outside the house which I can email to you as this site does not apparently allow me to post existing Youtube links links.
Room will be available “around” mid November, depending on the date my current tenant takes ownership of her new place and allowing a week for me to redecorate.
