Description
Hey all!
Our housemate is moving out and we have a double room available. The room is available from December 18th (sorry for the Christmas rush!) The room is going for £665 per month with bills roughly around £130 per month, including council tax (band A). There are 9 months left of the tenancy, with the option of staying on for longer. The deposit is £767 and you will need to be able to pass referencing checks or provide a guarantor. There's a possibility that there's a £50 fee to change the tenancy over, but we'll confirm that ASAP.
The flat is situated just off Western Road with plenty of shops/supermarkets etc around the area. It's about a 15 minute walk to the station. The flat is also very close to the beach, which is very helpful when the weather is nice!
We have a spacious living room area with Google Chromecast with plenty of apps etc, as well as a Nintendo Switch and PS4. The kitchen is fairly spacious with lots of storage. The room itself is part-furnished with a bed and a desk. There is also a small patio in the front, which you're welcome to make use of.
There are two of us here currently, and we are both gay males. We're queer musicians in a Hip-Hop group together. We're into visual art, gaming, pro-wrestling (if you know you know), music & film, as well as many other things. It would be nice to share interests etc and we're always open to a good conversation.
Ultimately, we're looking for the kind roommate who prioritises a peaceful and fun space. We're not expecting someone to be social 24/7, but we want everyone to feel comfortable! We are LGBT+ creatives, but we're open to anybody whose values align. It would also be awesome to find someone who is open to artistic collaboration (photographers/videographers etc) but this isn't a necessity at all!
We also have a 2-year-old Bengal/Persian cat named Jobu (if you get the name reference, extra points). She is a very active and loving cat. We're looking for someone who is a cat-lover and actively would like to get to know her to the point she'd feel comfortable interacting with you. It would also be helpful if you wouldn't mind looking after her in the event no one else is in (which is very infrequent).
Let us know if you have any questions. We're looking forward to meeting you all and finding someone to create a harmonious living environment and a good experience overall!
Many thanks,
Chris & Sam
