Two hospitality girls looking for a new housemate!

We are Millie and Megan and we would love for you to move in with us!! Our current housemate is moving out in mid august and we need a replacement.

ABOUT US

We are very good friends who met through our job at a restaurant and have been living together the past year. We love going for a cheeky vino but also love cosy nights in our beautiful house that we take a lot of pride in. Our favourite routine is catching up at the end of a busy day with a glass of wine and a cigarette on the balcony! We are both managers at a restaurant and work unsociable hours, often coming home after 11pm or leaving before 6am due to our schedules. We are always mindful of each others shifts and respect each others sleep patterns which can sometimes get a bit out of whack. We both love to watch tv, not always together, but a lot of our conversations revolve around what tv shows we are watching as we have many in common. Millies hobbies include making lino prints and other art and Megans include swimming and we both love mooching about town!

ABOUT YOU

Our only non-negotiables are that you have to be a female, respectful of shared spaces, comfortable with smoking (only on our balcony never inside), comfortable with cats as we may be taking on Megs family cats within the next year or so and ideally work unsociable hours such as hospitality or shift work! We are also ideally looking for someone who isn’t a party animal as we used to be but does enjoy chill nights in and out! We also want someone who is friendly and kind as we want a friend not just a house mate!! If you are new to Brighton we would be more than happy to show you our favourite spots and even introduce you to our friends!
We would ideally like to go for a drink with you before deciding on anything and you’re welcome to view the space.

ABOUT THE SPACE

We live in a 3 storey house near Aldi on London Road, just a ten min walk from North Laine and seconds away from the local shops on London road, very central.
Your room would be on the middle floor, opposite from Meg’s room with a bathroom you would share with her in between. Your room would be completely unfurnished, but has a built in wardrobe that is very big. The room has an L shape and two windows!! It is a double room that is decently sized considering the price. This is the only part of the house that will be unfurnished but we are welcome to any furniture in the shared spaces that has been discussed prior to make sure it will fit.
The top floor is a shared space with one big open plan living room/kitchen/dining room that goes out onto our decently sized balcony. We have no garden but have never found that to be an issue due to the balcony (and it means we don’t have to upkeep a garden). This space has high ceilings and is very modern with a full kitchen, dining table with 4 chairs, sofa, chair, and a futon that folds out into a single bed mattress incase you have anybody stay over - just let us know if you do so theres no surprises!
The ground floor is there Millie’s room is with a small bathroom that is for anyone to use but she mostly uses. There is also a shoe rack, coat rack, mirror and easel in the space under the stairs for anyone to use.
The house has no issues with mould (touch wood) that is a big problem with house in Brighton and it also retains heat well upstairs but can get cold on the ground floor - perfect for those cold winters and roasting summers.
