Central, king room, balcony, sociable flatmates :)

Hello helloooo wonderful people!


THE FLATMATES: We are Kate (Aussie) and Pukka (Brit) and we’re looking to rent out our room to a nice and fun human (or ideally a dog, but it turns out they struggle to pay the rent by themselves). We’re very extroverted and want someone to live with us who will also ideally be a mate and join in in social activities sometimes…that said we also appreciate a good 5 days straight locked in our room eating snacks and watching TV from time to time. We’re not bothered by noise (as long as it’s not bothering the neighbours) and if you want to come home with some friends at 3 in the morning for some drinks sometimes then that’s fine by us, though it works both ways and we may do the same on occasion. Kate works for a fancy microscope company and Pukka works for a bar crawl, both of us mostly work from home.

THE ROOM / FLAT: Very central (2 minute walk to the beach/Pier/Pavilion). Double room with a king-size bed (yours is the one in the photos with one orange wall, it now has a king size bed in it). It’s huge and has a built in wardrobe and a free standing one too. As well as a desk. The ‘En Suite’ might be a misnomer depending on your view point: There is a loo which you can have exclusive use of but it’s not directly connected to your bedroom and doesn’t have a shower/bath. There is a big lift that can fit bikes etc. The flat can get a little messy but we usually keep mostly on top of it and give it a big tidy once a week (usually on a Tuesday). There is a balcony and we’ve recently declared victory in our several-month-long battle with the pigeons to keep them off it…net installed! We have a washing machine and dishwasher, all sorts of appliances like a coffee maker, air fryer, soda stream etc. We have a keyboard and guitar in the living room which you’re welcome to use as long as you don’t break them.

OTHER STUFF:

- Bills not included, we’ll split them equally if that works?
- 1 month deposit (pretty standard).
- couples rent and short term rents (less than 3 months) is an extra £100 and £150/month. Respectively.
- we’ll knock £100 off the rent if you natively speak a language we’re learning for as long as you ACTIVELY force us to practice it with you fairly regularly (Spanish / Portuguese / Catalan / Italian / German / Greek / Polish / Japanese)
- If you're a smoker that's absopabolutley fine, but we'd ask that you do it on the balcony and not inside the flat.
