Hello! I'm looking for a replacement for my lovely housemate who will be leaving within the next 2 months. There is no official exchange date yet so we can be flexible - please enquire!
This is a third (top) floor flat next to Churchill Square, very close to the sea/i360 and West Pier. Great transport links from the centre of town, 12 min walk to Brighton station. The rooms are good sized with high ceilings.
I have two lovely indoor cats (Bella and Boots, both girls) who love people and attention so I'm looking for someone cat friendly. Not suitable for dogs but if you have a cat I'm open to discussion.
I've lived here for 7 years so I'm quite bedded in but I want my new housemate to feel comfortable in their new home and bring their personality into shared spaces too. I like to spend time on my own but wouldn't want to feel like we're strangers - it's nice to share meals sometimes!
I work from home 4 days a week but am sometimes at my partner's place nearby. Sometimes he stays with me too but rarely more than twice a week. There's no issue with having guests sleeping over or entertaining friends in the living room, but I would prefer not to have a couple dynamic in the flat full time.
Your room: window into lightwell in middle of property. Comes with optional double wooden bed frame (no mattress), small double door wardrobe with drawers, small TV stand. Space for desk, drawers etc.
There's extra storage space along the corridor for all coats and shoes
Kitchen/living room: overlooks Western Road. Double reclining sofa, large coffee table, big TV stand (no TV currently!), tumble dryer, washing machine, full size fridge freezer. Will be space for appliances like air fryer/microwave/kettle.
Bathroom: bath with shower, unlimited hot water due to fairly new boiler.
Deposit: there will be a deposit required but TBC as I need to confirm with the agency what the amount is.
Monthly bills: ~£180pp (wifi £42, water £72 , council tax band A £167, electricity £70, gas £varies paid every 3 months)
Parking on the square is permit only so not ideal for someone who drives.
LGBTQ+ friendly. Sorry, not suitable for full time students due to Council tax.
