This room is being advertised on behalf of a friendly, easy-going 83 year old gentleman in South Chailey.

In return for low cost accommodation of £170 pcm, he would like 10 hours per week of support which can be given across the week. This will be help with occasional cooking and friendly companionship (someone to watch TV with and have a chat to in the evenings), replenishing items if they have run out before the weekly shop, and help looking after the tortoise and two dogs (jack Russell and Labrador).

It is a four bedroom converted barn and you have will have a choice of a large double or large single bedroom. Both are fully furnished with a bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is additional furniture that can be provided if required. There is access to white goods. The property is 15 mins dive to Sussex University. Due to the location, this accommodation is better suited to a car driver, however there are buses to Lewes every 30 mins.

The ideal sharer would be friendly, caring, flexible and love the outdoors. They would also love animals.

You have access to the kitchen, lounge, diner, and conservatory, large back garden. The bathroom will be shared.
There is a cleaner that attends three mornings a week and a gardener 3 hours every other week.

As part of our homesharing scheme, you will need to have/or apply for a recent DBS check and provide two references. You will also need to complete an application form which can be found on the Lightshare website. The minimum term is 6 months, however a long term homesharer would be ideal.

The only fees payable are our monthly fees of £170pcm. A DBS fee of £35 is required and will be requested once you are successful.
