Lovely, quiet double room with delightful sea view

Are you looking for a room in a friendly, peaceful family home? The room I’m offering is at the back of the house with stunning views over treetops and the sea to Hastings. I live here with an enormous and somewhat chatty cat, Dexter, and occasionally my 25-year-old son.

The house is a Victorian terrace in Old Town/Ocklynge, an easy ten minutes’ walk from the hospital, Waitrose, Gildredge Park and a parade of shops on Green Street. Eastbourne station is 15-20 mins on foot and there is a bus stop to town around the corner. The beach is ten minutes by car.

The rent includes council tax, water, electricity, gas, and broadband.

There is a shared bathroom, kitchen and separate dining room, as well as a patioed back garden you are welcome to use. There is a dishwasher and washing machine and electric clothes airer or outside washing line.

The room is furnished and includes a built-in wardrobe with an internal long mirror, some generous shelving, a comfortable double bed, a desk and chair, lamps, a black-out blind and a chest of drawers. You’d need to supply your own sheets and bedding. The shelves will be cleared and the pictures can be removed if you’d like to bring your own.

There is on-street parking.

I work from home during the day and would prefer someone who is out during that time, ideally.

I think the room would suit someone who is friendly, considerate and independent, and who enjoys a bit of peace and quiet.
