Double room in family home

Hi, I'm Katy and I have a room to let in my family home as one of my lodgers is after three years moving on to pastures new! I live here full time with my other lodger who is an art history student. My partner Alex is here about 9 in 14 nights and we both have shared custody of five children between us so they are here half the time too. There are times when it is very busy and noisy and times when it is quite quiet and peaceful! So far I have been lucky to find lodgers who are happy to embrace our chaotic family and hope there's another right person out there for the next chapter. This person must love cats; we have three - one old lady and two exuberant boys recently rescued.

The room is a good sized double overlooking the garden, furnished with a bed, large corner desk, bedside cabinet and large wardrobe. There is a separate toilet and bathroom opposite, these are shared (am hoping to put a shower room in downstairs this year). The house is five bedroom, has a large garden with patio, separate lounge and conservatory (used as a family/dining room) and kitchen has a separate fridge and cupboard space for lodgers to use. There is permit parking immediately outside the house but I don't bother as the rest of the road is free. It is a two minute walk to bus stops into town and to the hospital. The area is quiet and residential. There is a small parade of shops nearby.

You are expected to clear up after yourself in shared areas and contribute to household jobs like taking the bins out. I would prefer someone who is out and about rather than in the house all the time. I think you will find us a warm and inclusive family and hope you enjoy socialising with us. We are a liberal household and LGBTQ+ friendly. There is a lot of music in our home.

If you want to stay for less than a month, weekly rent will be £150.
