An active lady with early onset Alzheimer’s is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would really benefit from someone who would be around Monday-Wednesday evenings when her husband is away for work, to give a little practical help such as cooking/helping her to cook dinner, a little light cleaning/tidying, ad hoc practical help and errands/outings, prompts and reminders, plus the friendly reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings/overnight.

The accommodation on offer is a spacious furnished double bedroom and shared use of a lovely bathroom and the kitchen, sitting room and beautiful garden.

The property is conveniently located in a beautifully-presented home in Halland. Due to location this will only suit a car driver with their own car – there is plenty of parking. Uckfield Station is 3.3 miles away (1hr 15 mins to London Bridge Station) and it’s a 15-minute drive to Lewes, 30 mins to Eastbourne and 40 mins to Brighton.

She is artistic and likes to draw, so this would suit someone with similar arts interests. She also reads the newspaper, does Sudoku, listens to music (The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel), goes for daily walks and enjoys visiting National Trust properties and gardens.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
