Double room: 17th Century Country cottage

Beautiful 17th Century cottage in the hamlet / village of Old Heathfield. Family home, with now adult children away for work university etc. most of the time. Double room (currently with single bed) access to all living space downstairs on “family basis”- kitchen, dining, living rooms, family bathroom etc. I also spend a few nights a week in London so you need to be happy being on your own as well as part of a family.

The ancient 14th Century Star Inn is just next door with beautiful gardens in the summer, the ancient church and churchyard are our “garden” behind. Oil central heating and a glorious ingle-nook wood-burner; country walks on your doorstep and a picturesque cricket ground around the corner. There are three stations with access to London within a few miles. The towns of Lewes Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells all within easy driving distance. Glyndebourne within 15 miles too. We have a guest golden retriever who comes to stay from time to time.

One month's deposit and one month's rent on contract. Contribution to bills and council tax to be agreed.
